Turnips are easy to grow, don't take up much space, are healthy and sweet, and we think no vegetable patch should be without them.
A White Globe shaped variety with a purple top and lovely tender flesh.
Turnips are great eaten raw when golf ball sized, cooked in many traditional recipes and the leaves can also be used steamed and taste just as delicious as the root.
Sow thinly on moist soil in shallow furrows no more than 1cm deep.
Thin to 15 cm (6 in) and leave 30 cm (12 in) between rows.
Early sowing should be under cloches/fleece.
OUR SEEDS ARE SPECIALLY SELECTED FOR UK CONDITIONS AND SOURCED FROM ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE, SOIL ASSOCIATED ORGANIC GROWERS.
ALL OUR PACKAGING IS RECYCLABLE, BIODEGRADABLE AND COMPOSTABLE.
