A popular German bred Heirloom variety producing good sized roots with a green skinned top and superb yellow flesh of excellent flavour. Stores very well .

Sow the seeds in May and June in an area clear of weeds, in drills 2cm deep and with rows 45cm apart. Thin the seedlings to a distance of 30cm apart.
 

Harvest in late Autumn after a frost.
