Sow; March-June

 

 

Chamomile Matricaria is grown for the flowers that are used in chamomile tea. 

The plant is a hardy annual with feathery leaves said to be apple scented. It grows to between 20 and 30 cm tall. The flowers are daisy like with white petals around a yellow conical middle. 

 

Sow from March - June in a sunny position in well prepared soil.

Cast the seed over the soil. Thin if necessary to 15 cm apart. 

Keep watered if the weather is very dry. 

Cut the flowers when they are fully open, on a dry day and preferably in the morning.
