Marvel of Four Seasons is a butterhead type lettuce with red/green leaves, a round compact head and a great taste. It is a very hardy heirloom variety that is slow to bolt and is fast maturing and reliable with a really sweet full lettuce flavour.
 
Sow under cover Feb-March or direct from April after danger of frost has passed. 
Sow seed thinly 1cm(½ in) deep in drills 30cm(12 in) apart. Ideal temp. 4-16°C.
When seedlings are 2cm tall thin to 15-20cm. Can sow under cover in autumn for overwintering. Successional sow at 14 day intervals.
Can be harvested at the leafy stage, or left to mature until the hearts form.
