ORGANIC Garlic 'Thermidrome'
Garlic Bulbs are on average 5 cm round and include 6 cloves per bulb
Sow: October, or January - March
Harvest: June, or August - September
Thermidrome is a high-yielding, early-maturing French softneck garlic variety (Allium sativum) known for its large white bulbs with subtle pink-mauve tints. It can be plaited as it's a soft neck variety. It is also very hardy making it perfect for beginners!
It also keeps well if kept in dry airy conditions.
Thermidrome prefers a spot in full sun and good drainage as this will eradicate the chances of rust which can reduce the growing period and spoil the leaves, but will not affect the bulbs.
Top Tips:
Plant near bean and/or peas for bigger bulbs.
Ensure you water regularly during dry periods.
To Sow:
When ready to sow, remove individual cloves and plant 5cm deep and 15cm apart in full sun with good drainage. Water in the morning if necessary, remove flowers from stalks, and keep the area around bulbs weed-free.
Harvest: when bulbs are plump and half of the leaves appear dry on a sunny day if possible.
Place garlic in an airy dry place and once dry, remove soil and trim roots.
Packaging: The packaging and labels for Cledor is 100% biodegradable.
Our seeds are carefully chosen for UK conditions and sourced from environmentally responsible, soil-associated organic growers.
