ORGANIC Garlic 'Primor'
Garlic Bulbs are on average 7cm round and include 8 - 10 cloves per bulb
Sow: September
Harvest: Late May - June
Garlic Primor is one of the earliest garlic to plant and harvest. They have large white bulbs with beautiful purple stripes and are an easy-to-grow hard-neck variety.
Garlic Primor prefers a spot in full sun and good drainage as this will eradicate the chances of rust which can reduce the growing period and spoil the leaves, but will not affect the bulbs.
Garlic has a short dormancy so will not keep for extended periods on time, for this reason, it is recommended you sow your garlic as soon as possible and keep it as a bulb in an airtight container in a cool dark place until you are ready to sow.
To Sow:
When ready to sow, remove individual cloves and plant 5cm deep and 15cm apart in full sun with good drainage. Water in the morning if necessary, remove flowers from stalks, and keep the area around bulbs weed-free.
Harvest: when bulbs are plump and half of the leaves appear dry on a sunny day if possible.
Place garlic in an airy dry place and once dry, remove soil and trim roots.
Packaging: The packaging and labels for Garlic Primor is 100% biodegradable
