Tanja is a popular, heavy cropping variety that is reliable and can be grown outdoors. It produces large, dark green fruits up to 30cm in length, which are bitter free.
 
Sow April - May in pots or modules in a heated propagator or somewhere warm. 
Pot on to 7 cm pots when true leaves have formed.
Harden off and transplant to the permanent position after danger of frosts (May-June). 
Provide canes or a trellis for the vines to climb up and tie them in.
