Carrot ‘Nantes 2’ is a popular early, fast maturing, blunt ended variety with a sweet flavour and very little core.
The carrots are a medium length, about 15 cm (6 in) long.
 
Very early and late sowings will extend the growing season and should be under cover.
Sow outdoors from April - July at a depth of 1 cm (½ in) in drills 30 cm (12 in) apart.
 
Carrots are slow to germinate (7 - 21 days) and often germinate unevenly over a period of several weeks. To help germination, water lightly daily if soil is dry.
