Langedijker Bewaar 2 is a very good looking red cabbage with dark purple/red leaves. It is an autumn/winter variety that needs a lot of time to become big. It produces very dense, round heads that weigh around 2-3kg and store very well.
This cabbage can be cooked, stewed, stir-fried or used raw in salads.
 
 
Sow from march-May in a greenhouse about 5  - 7 weeks before You want to plant out. 
Sow 1 seed per module, cover with a thin layer of soil. Keep the seeds moist during germination.
Harden off and plant out from May after the danger of frosts has passed. Plant out at about 50 cm apart. 
Or sow in a seedbed from April in drills approx 1cm deep.
