Groninger produces large, dark green sweet-tasting sprouts. It is a reliable and productive open-pollinated variety. Harvest from Oct-Feb, best cropping up to christmas.
 
Sow in March and April, thinly into pots or trays under glass. Or sow in shallow drills 2cm deep in a seed bed outside. 
Plant out to final position when approximately 15cm tall. Planting about 5cm deeper than before at about 60cm apart. Pick regularly to prevent blowing and encourage production.
You can under sow or catch crop under brussels sprouts during the summer to make the plot more productive.
