Organic Broccoli Purple Sprouting Early

SKU: 1250

Seeds per pack; approx. 100

Sow; Feb-May

Purple broccoli is full of fibre, rich in vitamin C and phytochemical sulphoraphanes. It has a delicate slightly sweet and nutty flavour

Purple sprouting broccoli for harvesting in early Spring takes a year from planting to harvesting but it is certainly worth the wait.

Sow the seeds in a seed bed in a shallow drill. Allow 15 cm between drills. Thin to 7 cm between the plants as they grow and then transplant in summer when the plants are about 15 cm tall.

Transplant to the final position, about 1m apart and quite deep, up to the first leaves is fine.

Sprouting broccoli likes to be well-watered.

Harvest before the flowers start to open.

Keep picking and the side shoots will follow after the main shoots are cut.

Our seeds are specially selected for UK conditions and sourced from environmentally responsible, soil-associated organic growers.

All our packaging is 100% recyclable, biodegradable and compostable.
