Eleonora is an improved variety of the popular ‘Express’.
 
 
Fast growing and quite short in habit so unlikely to be blown over in strong winds.
Its best feature is its outstanding flavour.
Pods produce about 5 beans per pod that are excellent for eating fresh and freezing.
 
Sow in February-March undercover or direct from March-May.
 
Can be sown in individual pots 5cm deep and hardened off in May before planting out at about 20cm apart.
Or sow outdoors March-May where they are to crop, 5cm deep, 20cm apart in rows 60cm apart. Successional sowing will ensure a continuous supply and longer harvest.
