Planting Plans can be a bit daunting when you are just starting to become a vegetable gardener, there's a lot of different methods and information out there!

We think that square foot gardening is one of the easiest methods to use to get going because it means that your spacing between plants will be perfect 🤩
A good way to start is to consider what you would like to grow most 🤔... then arrange plants around it that are beneficial to these.
Another way is if you have shade issues, consider which areas in your garden will get the most light and plant those vegetables that are most in need in those areas (please image below), then plant or transplant beneficial plants to these areas.

For example Tomatoes, Parsley, Onions, Basil, Garlic 🍅 or Sweetcorn, Squash, Beans, Dill 🌽
It's important to separate families of plants out too. Planting brassicas (cabbage, broccoli and cabbage) all together is asking for trouble 😅
Lastly, remember a plan is just a plan, things will still get eaten or die of their own accord! It happens to even the best gardeners, it's part of gardening so don't worry if you go off plan, it's to be expected! 😊
